Recurrent & Chronic UTI's

Recurrent &
Chronic UTI's

Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) are defined as having 2 or more UTIs in six months or 3 or more UTIs in one year. For women whose UTIs have failed to resolve despite standard outpatient oral antibiotic therapy, we offer an individualized and targeted treatment option.

This treatment consists of bladder irrigations containing therapeutic medications that are instilled directly into the bladder using a catheter. This therapy can be performed quickly and easily in our clinic. The therapeutic medications are tailored to each patient’s unique UTI bacteriology, as well as their other medical conditions and allergies.

The goal of this approach is to target treatment to the site of infection and to minimize exposure to systemic antibiotics, thus reducing the risks of adverse effects from such medications. It also allows use a wider variety of medications to treat the urinary tract infection compared to oral antibiotics that are typically prescribed for this condition.

If you suffer from recurrent UTIs, schedule a consultation & evaluation at our clinic.

Testimonials

"I would like to share my personal experience regarding the bladder treatments I received at Luna OBGYN. I have battled chronic UTI infections for the last 17 years. They have adversely affected my everyday life; I would take oral antibiotics as well as AZO tablets regularly. Then I would have to deal with stomach issues as well as yeast infections.

I was beyond excited when a friend told me about the bladder treatment that Luna OBGYN offered. The drive took me a little over an hour, but I was willing to make the drive to give the treatment a try. First of all, all the office staff are kind and very friendly. The nurses are sweet and make you feel comfortable.

Dr Wainwright is amazing! He listens to your concerns & is very empathetic. He also makes you feel important as his patient, you will never feel like he's rushing to get you out.

I started out coming once a week but then started coming twice a week in an attempt to start getting negative UTI results. I now go once a month after having 3 negative results in a row.

I'm so encouraged now; I had thought that I was going to have to live with the struggle of constantly battling UTI infections. I strongly recommend giving Luna OBGYN a try if you battle chronic UTI infections. "
